Harborwalk at the Harbor Towers
Crossing over Atlantic Avenue from the Rose Kennedy Greenway you will come to this very unique installation right where East India Row runs into the Boston Harbor. This is a very good spot to photograph the harbor from, or even the Moakley US Courthouse across the harbor.
If you just turn, however–and gaze up at the skyline above Purchase Avenue, the installation here, oddly titled “Untitled Landscape” will be staring you right in the face. The pieces are four blocks of stainless steel that have an obtuse angled bend. They have the appearance of four shiny laptop computers facing each other in pairs. However, the pieces were made in 1964, far before laptops existed. People do confuse them with solar panels.
